‘Am I Here’ plays with ideas of absence and presence; with the past and present and degrees of embodiment and disembodiment. It includes recordings of myself speaking at other times and in other places – transmitting from the past and from more remote locations – as well as live speech to explore the nature of the disembodied voice, past histories and “capture”.
